Crestwood High School's Isabella Schlatter has officially signed to continue her academic and athletic career with the Hawkeye Community College RedTails Women's Track & Field Team. Isabella plans to major in Graphic Design while competing in the long jump and sprints for the RedTails.
A dedicated athlete since 7th grade, Schlatter is eager to take the next step in her track and field journey close to home.
"I'm excited to come to Hawkeye and do track because it's close to home, and I get to continue doing something I've been working on since 7th grade," Schlatter said. "The track program is great, the coach is very nice, and I'm excited to see how much better I can get."
Throughout her high school career, Isabella has built an impressive résumé. Some of her top achievements include placing 5th overall in long jump at the ISU Indoor Track and Field Championship, earning 4th place at the state meet during her sophomore season, and being a state qualifier her junior and senior years. She has also collected several strong performances at district and conference meets.
Hawkeye Community College and the RedTails Track & Field program are thrilled to welcome Isabella and look forward to seeing her continued success both on the track and in the classroom.
