HAWKEYE WOMEN’S TRACK & FIELD ADDS SPRINT TALENT LANNI BEAMAN
Hawkeye Community College is proud to announce the addition of Lanni Beaman, an accomplished sprinter from Hopkinton, Iowa, to the RedTail Women's Track & Field program. Beaman comes from Maquoketa Valley High School and plans to study Dental Assisting & Hygiene while continuing her decorated sprinting career at the collegiate level.
Lanni has been a force on the track since beginning her career in 7th grade at age 12. Over the past four years, she has built one of the most impressive résumés in the state, becoming a 12-time Iowa State Track & Field Qualifier. Her performances at the 2024 State Meet showcased her versatility and elite competitiveness—placing 3rd in the 400m, 8th in the 4x100m, 5th in the 4x400m, and earning the title of State Champion in the Sprint Medley Relay.
Her excellence continues at the school-record level as well, holding Maquoketa Valley records in the 400m, 4x100m, and Sprint Medley Relay.
Lanni shared her excitement about joining the RedTails:
"I am thrilled to come to HCC and run for the track and field program! I've been running and competing since 7th grade, and I'm excited to continue my journey. I can't wait to further both my athletic and academic careers at HCC!"
Hawkeye gains a dynamic, championship-caliber sprinter with the drive to elevate the program even further.
