RedTails Wrap Regular Season at Ted Nelson Classic
A small group from the RedTails track team traveled to Mankato this past weekend for the Ted Nelson Classic for a final tune-up before the Region XI Championships. Featuring a variety of collegiate programs from across the region.
Several athletes had season-best performances, highlighting the team's continued progress.
Mallori Jones continued her historic season, earning her third auto-qualifier of the indoor season. She now holds qualifying marks in the 600, 800, and 1000.
Kailan McEwen and Riley Goddard put together a solid series of throws in the women's shot put. Kailan placed 7th in a loaded field!
Tynan Van Der Veer placed third in the men's 800.
"As a staff, we're excited to see our team compete in a true championship environment. Our region features the number one, four, and five ranked men's teams nationally along with the number one and three women's teams. It's a great opportunity to test ourselves against the best and gain valuable experience. We're looking forward to embracing the opportunity of competing against the best. Go RedTails!" said assistant coach David Holesinger.
