Athlete of the Week: Jessica Jacobs

WATERLOO–-RedTail Volleyball sophomore Jessica Jacobs has been named Athlete of the Week for her outstanding performances the week of March 11-14.

Jacobs led off the week recording six kills in the RedTails' 3-0 sweep of Ellsworth Community College. Jacobs went on to record eight kills, helping the RedTails to another 3-0 sweep of Southwestern Community College. In addition to her talents on the court, Jacobs has shown throughout the year the impact that her attitude and leadership has brought to the team.

"Jess is an amazing athlete with a bright future ahead of her. She always brings a very high level of positive energy that never goes unnoticed," said head coach Tyann Caspers. "She is an unforgettable player and we are thankful to have had her this year."

Jacobs is originally from Waverly, Iowa, and is currently studying Liberal Arts while attending Hawkeye.
