RedTail Volleyball Wraps Spring Season with Competitive Florida Scrimmages
The RedTail Volleyball team closed out their spring season with a memorable trip to Pensacola, Florida, where they soaked up the sun and battled against strong competition. The team scrimmaged Pensacola State College and Enterprise College, playing two sets to 25 against each opponent.
Against Pensacola State, the RedTails rose to the challenge of facing a program that finished in the top 10 at last season's NJCAA National Championships. The match featured long rallies, high‑level play, and a strong competitive response from the RedTails.
Coach Chris Mahi commented on their scrimmage against Pensacola State, saying, "We competed very well against Pensacola State. We finished in the top 10 at the NJCAA National Championships last season. There were some long rallies and just overall great play. Pensacola is a physical team that plays great volleyball, and we matched up very well against them. I was proud of how we competed."
Enterprise College also brought a talented and aggressive style of play. The RedTails faced early challenges in serve receive as Enterprise applied pressure from the service line, but the group responded with composure and resilience, turning the sets into competitive battles.
Beyond the on‑court action, the trip served as a meaningful way to close the spring season. The team enjoyed the warm weather, quality competition, and time together off the court. Overall, the RedTails returned from Pensacola with valuable experience, strong momentum, and memories that will last a lifetime.
