Hawkeye took home the team title at the Battle for the Helmet this past week, with Mackenzie Arends posting an impressive three wins at the tournament. Wrestling in the 235-pound weight class, Arends started with a win by forfeit over her teammate before following that up with a 4-0 decision win against NIACC wrestler Ayanna Jayne Achola Omollo. The biggest win was saved for last, as Arends pinned the No. 2-ranked Faith Tarrant of Iowa Western, earning a huge win for herself and the RedTails.
