RedTails Women's Cross Country Finish 3rd at the Region XL Championships

FORT DODGE, IA- Women's 5k Race Recap: Girl's came through with a great race with a 3rd place finish overall. As a team, they scored 64 points to secure the 3rd spot. Jules Breakenride finished first for the team, 10th overall with a time of 22:18 which she was awarded with 2nd team All-Conference.  Triniti Etzel came in 2nd for the team, 13th overall with a new season's best of 23:21. Maddie Tieskotter came in 3rd for the team, 14th overall with a time of 23:25. Allie Witt came in 4th for the team, 15th overall with a new season's best time of 23:28. Rachel Rusche finished 5th for the team, 17th overall with a time of 24:03. Hailey Eitzenhefer finished 6th for the team, 21st overall with a time of 26:21

 

Head Coach Corinne Gadient had some postive words after their latest competition.

 

"We got to debut Allie Witt and hailey Eitzenehefer at this meet which helped the girl's cross team have a full girl's squad," she said. "Everyone stepped up and helped each other throughout the entire race. Securing 3rd place for these girls was a huge accomplishment from starting with only 2 girls at the beginning of the season. We just keep building a squad and we aren't done yet! Super proud of how they performed today."

 

The RedTails next competition will be Friday, Novmeber 11, in Tallahassee Florida for NJCAA Nationals.
