The Hawkeye Community College Men's Soccer team showed incredible fight on Saturday (October 11), coming back from a three-goal deficit to draw 3–3 against North Iowa Area Community College.
After trailing at halftime, the Redtails stormed back in the second half behind goals from Luke Hobson, George Mills, and Oscar Maule. Hobson opened the scoring in the 55th minute off an assist from Magnus Oredsen, before Mills found the back of the net at the 70-minute mark with help from Kaspar Szikszai. Maule then delivered the dramatic equalizer in the 89th minute, assisted by Hobson.
Despite going down a man for the final 15 minutes after a red card, the Redtails refused to quit and played with relentless energy until the final whistle.
Head Coach Jorge Sierra Galeas praised his team's fight, saying,
"Brought a good fight, need to put our chances early on in the game. Despite being with one less man in the last 15 minutes we were able to get two goals."
The RedTails' resilience was on full display, marking one of their most hard-fought performances of the season.
Hawkeye will look to carry that momentum into their next match on Wednesday October 15, when they take on Iowa Lakes Community College on the road.
